Does Mississippi tax a 1099-R due to a disbursement due to death?

    The inherited 1099R benefit was from my dad who was a resident of Mississippi and I am as well. Should this be taxable as pension income is normally not tax by Mississippi?

    No, Mississippi does not tax 1099-R disbursements due to death.  The only retirement or pension income distributions taxable in the state of Mississippi are those that are early distributions.
