Does my mother's social security check count as her income?

She moved in with me last year so she's new as a dependent on my taxes this year.  Question is asking if she made at least $4,300 in 2020?  Do I count her SS checks?

No you do not count your mom's Social Security income as part of that $4300.    If she had over $4300 of income NOT including the Social Security you cannot claim her as a dependent.    And, of course, if you are claiming her, you still have to be able to say that you are paying for over half of her support.
