Question

Does TurboTax sort out Social Securiy ? . I don't recall being asked about it in TurboTax and my 1040 lines 6a and 6b are blank ... does that sound right ?

I did some research and if you ear too much up to 85% of Social Security payments can be taxed ... but I don't know how to figure it out. This is the first year am retired and receive Social Security.

If you received Social security in 2021, the full amount should appear on Form 1040 Line 6a.

you have to enter the SSA-1099 document.
