EIC - Isn't generating any credit on T/R

I have a 1099 - NEC that I entered as self employment income on Schedule C.  My net profit is $7800, no other income, no withholding, etc.  Why do I not qualify for any EIC?  Last year I had same 1099 type income (lower $$) and a W-2 as well.  No W-2 this year.  What am I missing?  I am nowhere near the maximum and it's generating $1200 of federal tax.  Help!

Are you claiming any qualifying child on your return?

For 2022, if you don't have a qualifying child, you must:

    • be age 25 but under 65 at the end of the year.
    • not qualify as a dependent of another person; and
    • live in the United States for more than half of the year

Who Qualifies for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
