I worked full-time until the end of April 2024, then retired. When answering the questions in the "Tell us about your tax situation" section when starting to work on my taxes, the only selection I could choose under Employment is "I have a job (W-2)". Is this the correct choice?

That is fine---you will have a W-2 to enter.    When you are asked in MY INFO to enter an "occupation" the IRS only uses occupation for statistical purposes; occupation has no effect on your tax due or refund, nor does it affect the interview screens you will get.
