Is the entire distribution amount considered the RMD on my pension 1099R? Do I use the calculator to figure out what the required amount of the RMD is? There is no end of year balance to use in the formula. I hate topay another 50$ to have this explained to me but I am confused
The RMD for a pension is the total pension income that was distributed to you as shown in box 1 of the Form 1099-R.
