I open a roth in 2021 and forgot to report it on my federal 2021 taxes I filed.  There is no excessive contribution. Do I need to do anything like amend my taxes?

No. There is no need to report a Roth IRA contribution on your tax return. These contributions are not deductible.

But you need to keep track of the amounts contributed each year.
