Federal Income Tax withheld 1099-R

You will enter your RMD distribution and tax withheld that is reported on Form 1099-R in the Wages and Income section. The interview will ask you about your RMD when you enter your 1099-R. Please follow the instructions below to enter:

1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax and select Search at the top of the screen
2. Enter 1099-r and select Jump to 1099-r
3. Answer Yes and continue to either import, upload, or manually enter your form
4. If you are typing your 1099-R, you will get to a screen to Enter your 1099-R details and will enter the federal income tax withheld in box 4.
