You will need to file an amended return for 2017, 2018 and 2019(if you have already filed).

For 2019, you will need to wait until your return clears at the IRS. When you receive your refund, or the payment you sent has cleared, you can then file your 2019 amended return.

Amended return are sent to the IRS by mail, there is no electronic filing. For 2019 you can use TurboTax online, but for 2017 and 2018 you will need to download your returns (.tax files), download the amend software, and then fill out and file your returns.

Here is some more information about amending your returns.

If you took an IRA deduction on your tax returns, you would find the amount taken on the following lines:

For 2017, an IRA deduction would appear on Line 32, Page one of the 1040.

For 2018, an IRA deduction would appear on Line 32, Schedule 1

For 2019, an IRA deduction would appear on Line 19, Schedule 1
