Form 1099-R has the same amt in 1& 2a. 2b is marked Taxable amount not determined. the difference is $2200 given to Universities. Do I have to have my 1099-R changed?

No, you cannot get the Form 1099-R changed because the Form 1099-R is correct.

 

If the contributions to the universities qualify as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from an IRA, when entering this Form 1099-R into TurboTax exactly as received, when TurboTax asks, indicate that amount that was transferred to charities.  If the amounts given to charities do not qualify as a QCD, these contributions made in 2019 must be treated as ordinary charitable contributions on Schedule A.
