Form 8606 was not filed in 2022 although taxes were paid on the Roth conversion from an IRA account. Do I just print off the 8606 forms and mail them to the IRS?

How do I send last year's tax form 8606 to the IRS?

Although the instructions for Form 8606 indicate the form should be included with a filed tax return, you may wish to mail it separately. Be sure to include a signed copy of Form 1040 (all pages, stamped COPY) so the IRS can match the 8606 to your 2022 return.

IRS will return the form to you if it is not attached to 1040-X

did you already pay the correct tax? if so, the 1040-X is simplified.

Did you use TurboTax to prepare your 2022 tax return?  If so, how is it that Form 8606 was not included?  Did you fail to enter the 2022 Form 1099-R that reported the distribution that was converted to Roth or did you  incorrectly answer TurboTax's questions regarding what was done with the distribution?
