Form 8880 not used by turbotax on 2019 return, but I think it should have been; how to check or correct?

Form 8880 for the credit for qualified retirement savings contributions should have been generated automatically in TurboTax based on your income and contributions to your retirement account. If you think it was not included in error, you can prepare an amended return to look over the entries again and if you are entitled to the credit but it was not entered on your tax return in 2019, you can file the amended return for no additional cost.

You will see an option to file the amended return on your home page when you log into your TurboTax program.

If TurboTax did not include Form 8880 in your filing, the information that you provided to TurboTax to prepare your tax return indicated that you actually did not qualify for this credit.  Note that this credit is a non-refundable credit, so if your tax liability is already zero without this credit, you are not eligible for the credit and TurboTax will not include Form 8880 in your filing.
