Form RS has placed my 1099R in part II which is fully taxable. Alabama does not tax military retirement.How do I move my 1099R info to Part 1 of Form RS?

How do I move my Military retirement from part II to Part I ?

Follow these steps to exempt your AL income:

Enter your program.
Open up the AL state section
Go through it until you see About Your Retirement Distributions
Locate your military pay
Select Edit/ review
Alabama special handling, is your distribution not taxed?
Select YES
Reason for Exempt Distribution
Select Military Retirement Pay from the drop down
Continue
You will now see 0 showing under taxable AL pension.
