Full distribution of inherited traditional IRA instead of RMD

I've read the post on similar situation but not quite understanding the answer. Turbo Tax is asking two RMD questions. First question is whether all or part of the distribution is RMD? The second question is whether RMD has been taken yet for the year? 1099-R just shows the full distribution. It does not break it down how much was RMD. So would it be appropriate to say all was RMD since it would be covered by the full distribution? Thanks

You can say it was all RMD and that the amount required to be taken is the amount actually taken. This will prevent TurboTax from needlessly generating Form 5329 Part IX.
