Question

Hello, I have Traditional or Roth IRA distribution showing up but I took no distribution as i don't have one. I clicked the boxes saying don't have one, but it shows $14k

I did take a 401k distribution and that is listed for exactly what is on the 1099r.

    To clarify, you have a Form 1099-R for the distribution from a 401k and this is showing on line 4 instead line 5 on Form 1040?

     

    Please go back through the 1099-R entry and make sure you do not have the "IRA/SEP/SIMPLE" box checked. Sometimes it helps to delete and renter the form.

     

    To preview Form 1040 in TurboTax Online:

     

    1. Click on "Tax Tools" in the left menu
    2. Click "Tools"
    3. Click "View Tax Summary" in the Tool Center window
    4. Click on "Preview my 1040" on the left
