If you are self-employed, then you report the income the same way you report your other self-employment income, just convert the foreign currency amount to dollars if necessary.

If the income represent wages, you can report the foreign income by using these menu tabs in TurboTax:

  1. Income and Expenses
  2. Less common income
  3. Foreign earned income and exclusion
  4. Did you make income outside the United States? (yes)
  5. What form was income reported on? (stmt from foreign employer)

Enter your income and work through the rest of the questions. Indicate that you want to try to exclude your foreign income, but then later say you did not live outside the US if that is true.

The result will be the income will appear on line 1 of form 1040 as wages, but no self-employment or social security tax will be charged.

You can report the $48  in the Less Commons Income section as well, but choose the Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C option, then choose Other reportable income.
