Hi THERE! I have seen thing all over the news speaking about "not needing" to file if you are on Social Security Insurance, but nothing about if you disabled.

If you receive SSI, you will need to file a simple return because SSI is funded by general tax revenue, not Social Security taxes. As such, based on current IRS guidance, it appears that some SSI beneficiaries would need to file a “simple” tax return for 2019 to receive a stimulus payment.
