Question

How can I delete the amount on the "Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C" line? I can't find that dollar amount that is showing on my return and need to delete it?

Under Your Income and expenses, there is an amount that needs to be deleted since it's inaccurate. I've gone through all the categories and cannot find it. How can I get rid of this?

It depends. Try using the steps below to delete an entry for Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C" line. Once you review be sure it's not income you should be reporting.

    Other Miscellaneous Income:

    1. Sign into your TurboTax Online account
    2. Go to Tax Home (left panel)  Wages and Income  section
    3. Scroll to  Less Common Income > Select  Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C
    4. Select Other reportable Income > Enter a description (----) and the amount

If you are using TurboTax Online you may also want to clear any pieces of debris hiding.

    • Close your TurboTax return first.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and try again to delete an entry.
