Question

How can i file for a tax extension if my wife and children do not have social security numbers? They are currently in the immigration process to get their numbers.

    You will have to print and mail the extension: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf  In the space that requests your spouse's Social Security Number, simply print the words "SSN TO BE REQUESTED."
