How can I issue 1099-R form for RMD that I send to myself from the IRA account that I manage (Real Estate IRA)?

Typically, you would have a self-directed IRA custodian that would issue the 1099-R.

IRA is a real estate renting. I have a custodian, but the custodian does not have cash in the account. I have cash in the account associated with the real estate operation. Do I have to send a check to the custodian and then request to send it back and ask for 1099-R after that or simply can write a check to myself and then issue 1099-R later that I do not know how to do
