There is a box next to box 7 on your Form 1099-R that would be checked if you had an IRA, SEP-IRA, or Simple IRA. They would be treated similarly as far as distributions are concerned on your tax return. The only difference would be contribution options for your employer. You would have to ask your employer which type of IRA they have.
