I mistakenly answered "No" to the question when I first started my return and I need to change my answer to "Yes".

The IRS will ask you if you received, exchanged or sold any digital assets during the year. If so, it is up to you to report income associated with that on your tax return.

There are three ways to enter your crypto in TurboTax:

    Add/Edit/Delete Form Cryptocurrency:

    1. Open your return (if not already open).
    2. Enter "cryptocurrency" in the Search box.
    3. Click on "jump to cryptocurrency" link.
    4. Enter you information by importing it or by entering it manually.

Clicking on the "Jump to Cryptocurrency" link did not result in TurboTax re-asking the yes/no question on "did I sell or receive Digital Assets".

I do not need to re-enter or add to any cryptocurrency investment entries.

I just need to change my answer to the yes/no "Digital Assets" question in front page of Form 1040.

The original entry for this question should have said "1040" not "1099".

The question on Digital Assets is on the front page of Form 1040.

    Sorry for the confusion.

I also don't know why this question was placed in the "Retirement" section.

Still looking for an answer though.
