How do I confirm my military retirement (thru a 1099-R) is not taxed in Louisiana?

I have a 1099-R but Louisiana does not tax military retirement. How do I confirm this is not taxed?

On the LA return, you will see it listed with the exemption code 04E. There is a place in the program that lists your income for you to choose options.

To print or view your forms:

In desktop, switch to Forms Mode.
For online:
1. On the left side, select Tax Tools
2. Select Print center
3. Select Print, save or preview this year's return
4. If you have not paid, select pay now.
