How do I delete the Retirement Savings Contribution Credit and make the balance $0? It says I have $43 credit but I want the balance to be $0

TurboTax is making me upgrade tp deluxe just because I have this credit. Id rather not upgrade so I want this off my taxes. I dont think I did anything to get the contribution credit I dont put money into retirement

Money put into several types of retirement that show in box 12 of your W-2 will automatically qualify.

To get rid of it is fairly easy without n messing elsewhere. Just go thru the Retirement Savings CC interview questions again, and indicate that you were a student during 2020. Yeah, that's probably not true, but just in this case, it's OK to Lie to the software, and that gets rid of the RSCC form..

Go to Deductions and Credits->Retirement and Investments->Retirement Savings Contribution Credit and click Start or Update.

In the interview, answer YES to you being a full-time student.

This will remove the credit because full-time students are not eligible for it.
