How do I enter 1099- R sheets myself?

There are thousand's of 1099-R issuers that do not provide the properly formatted files to have them imported directly into the software...those are special files and not just the 1099-R forms you may have received.

 SO...Yes, you can enter them manually.

1) start in at the 1099-R entry area....

2) when you get to the page that wants you to select the provider to have it downloaded automatically...you DONT't enter anything in that top box,

3)   instead you look for the text to click on :

"Change how I enter my form" at the bottom of that page.

4) .......and then on the next page you click on

"Type it in myself"

You will then get the pages displayed to enter all the info on the 1099-R worksheet, using your own paper copy of your 1099-R form.
