Question

How do I file taxes this year after changing my gender and name? I’ve used TurboTax for 5 years under a different name and gender.

Yes, it’s legally changed with the courts, social security and drivers license

You will just type over the old name with the new one, leaving your social security and birthday the same.  Depending on the time of year that you filed your name change with social security, it is possible that the database won't be updated.

In that case, you'd file one last time with your old name.  This is only likely to happen if the change was made late in the year.

Please know that it's okay if some folks didn't re-issue your tax documents like W-2 or 1099s to your current name.  The IRS is able to link your old name and new name in their systems.
