How do I fix my Indiana1099R without a line 16? My 1099R is Federal OPM retirement.

This is for my Indiana state return. Following is the error code received: 1099R-025 - If 'StateAbbreviationCd' is IN, the state distribution 'F1099RStateTaxGrp/StateDistributionAmt' must be greater than state tax 'F1099RStateTaxGrp/StateTaxWithheldAmt'

The error seems to say that the 1099-R is reporting more Indiana tax paid (Box 14) than Indiana income (Box 16).

You can't have paid more in tax than you received as income.

Are those boxes entered correctly?

If they look right, and you imported the 1099-R, you might want to delete the 1099-R and manually type it in.
