how do i get around box 7 on 199 r form if i have no code listed

    Look again.  Is there a number close to box 7 on the Form 1009-R?  It could be the number 7.

     

    A Form 1099-R cannot be filed if box 7 does not have a number entered.  If there is not a code then you have to contact the Payer to get a corrected form 1099-R.
