How do I let Turbo Tax know I retired in 2021 and have no W-2 for 2022?

TurboTax Premier Online

You can go to the Income section of TurboTax and click delete next to the W-2's that may have transferred from last year. You can then continue in the income section to enter any retirement income or social security income in the retirement income section. This is all you would need to do to change your income from employee to retiree.

Thanks, but I can't find any place to delete the W-2. Under "Federal" there's "Wages and Income" but I can't delete from there.....

After you click wages and income, you may have to select "I'll choose what I work on" or review/edit if you are using the online version.

So if you are using the desktop version select the following:

wages and income
I'll choose what I work on
Scroll down next to wages and salaries and you will likely see an update button or a summary screen

For the online version

Wages and Income
Add More Income
Show more next to wages and salaries
