Question

how do i remove a tax deductible credit? turbo tax is forcing a retirement contribution credit despite the fact i haven't put any money towards retirement ever?

when going in to edit it just tells me that i need to upgrade to standard (i ain't)

    Does your employer make contributions into a retirement account for you? Check to see if your W-2 has an amount in Box 12 with code D, E, F,  G, H, S, AA, BB, EE. You qualify for the Saver's Credit if you have an amount in box 12 with any of those codes.

     

    To elect out of the credit that you qualify for, you will have to say you were a student for a least 5 months of 2024.
