Question

How do I report having 2 1099R's for converting the same money in the same year? I transferred my 403B to a Trad IRA then converted it to a Roth thus receiving 2 1099R's.

Entering both of these forms makes it look like I have twice the distribution amount.

On the first 1099-R, you should have seen the questions (after entering the numbers) that asked you what you did with the money - you should have answered that you moved it to a retirement account.

This would have caused the distribution from the first 1099-R to be non-taxable. Does that work for you?
