How do I update a dependent's social security number after adoption?

We adopted our children in 2019 and 2021 but did not get new social security numbers and name changes done until 2022. We have previously declared them on past years on taxes.

To update their dependent information:

First, please check My Info in the Federal return, from the menu bar on the left side
Then, click on the little down arrow for Dependents
And click on the Edit button for your first dependent
Please complete all the questions until it brings you back to the main My Info screen
Repeat for your other child.
