Question

How do you input IRA distribution infor when both my wife andI have IRA at the sam place checking the differnt boxes just edits one or the other info?

when you enter the information for your 1099-r you need to enter yours with the paid by institute and amount click on add another 1099-r and then add your wife's information.. on the page that says your 1099-r entries you should see one entry for what you take out and one for your wife.

From our awesome Tax Champ @DoninGA, if your amounts are exactly the same for each of you change the amount by $.01 on one of them and this may allow you to move forward without error.
