How to answer schedule c on 1099 form?

     Enter your business expenses and pay self-employment tax along with your income tax. However, you may or may not have a business and need to file Sch C.  If you do contract work where you get paid but not with a w2, you need to fill out the Sch C.

     

    Why did you get a 1099? You may not be a business or need to file Sch C.
