Do a Search (upper right) for 1099-r and click on the jump-to link (Mac users must find 1099-R in the Topics List).

Enter the 1099-R data here. Be sure to continue because there will be one or several screens after the main data entry screen that may ask what the source of the pension is.

It is common when a state does not tax a certain category of pension, it does so based on your entries in the 1099-R, not on entries in your state interview.
