How to resolve the Military Retirement issue of having only 2 wrong choices (1) not a 403-b plan, and (2) not a qualified retirement plan. (Non-qual plan)?

    Hello! There is an option of OTHER to choose on this section. You can report it as OTHER if nothing else fts the distribution that you received the 1099R for.

    Since military retirement is a nonqualified plan, follow these steps:

    1. edit the 1099-R,
    2. select not an IRA,
    3. not a public safety officer,
    4. choose the state,
      1. if you select a state
        1. select federal government retirement benefits,
        2. select non-qualified plan
        3. done
      2. If you do not select a state
        1. choose from a non-qualified plan
        2. done
