Hsa contributions for 2024

The HSA deduction may be taken by any eligible taxpayer, whether they itemize deductions or not.

Here is how to enter the information TurboTax online:

1. Click on Federal Taxes,  Deduction & Credits
2. Choose "add/edit" HSA, MSA Contributions
3. You will see a page titled "Your HSA Summary" which will show any deductions already computed from your W-2  
4. Choose Edit, Check the box for HSA, Continue
5. You'll now see a screen that says "Here's what we have so far"
6. Choose done and continue until you get to a screen that says "Let's enter your HSA contributions"
7. In the box "Any contributions you personally made (not through your employer)" you can add any amounts you personally made, up until the deadline of 4/15/25.
