HSA Limits Medicare/Spouse HDHP

Started my 2023 taxes. I went on Medicare in September. TurboTax indicates I can only contribute $5834 to my HSA. I understand I can only contribute for 8/12 of $4350 but my spouse which is still covered by a HDHP should be able to contribute the full $4350 for the year (or so I thought). Secondly, when I completed the section and indicated I went on Medicare in September, when I complete the section for my spouse, it assumes she has no insurance; my only choices are no insurance due to disability or other

"it assumes she has no insurance"  TurboTax doesn't assume.  You tell TurboTax in the HDHP section the kind of HDHP coverage your spouse had.  If your spouse was covered by the family HDHP plan the entire year and had no disqualifying coverage, that's what you need to enter for your spouse's coverage.

Your spouse's HSA contribution must be made to your spouse's HSA, not to your HSA.
