Question

I accidentally filled out the Traditional/Roth IRA section even though I haven't made any contributions. I'm unable to edit the section and zero out my contributions.

How do I reset this in turbo tax, or edit it to say I contributed zero this year.

Please follow these instructions to delete the IRA contributions:

  1. Login to your TurboTax Account
  2. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “IRA contributions”
  3. Click on “Jump to IRA contributions"
  4. Deselect “traditional IRA” and “Roth IRA” and select “None of the above”
  5. Click “Continue” and confirm you want to delete the contribution”

Another option:

  1. In the left menu, select "Tax Tools" and then "Tools".
  2. In the pop-up window Tool Center, select "Delete a form".
  3. Select "Delete" next to the IRA Contributions Worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
