I am a widow and I receive a monthly payment from my husbands retirement pension how do i file
The pension fund is State Teachers Retirement Pension Fund of Ohio
You should have form 1099-R reporting the distribution, please report it as such in TurboTax:
- Federal Taxes
- Wages and Income
- Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
- Select IRA, 401(k), Pension Plans (1099-R) - you will be asked some additional questions about the distribution, please be sure to answer them.
