I am almost 70 years old and I’ve had my Roth account for at least 20 years and I am being charged for my Roth withdrawal

    It depends on the distribution code listed in Box 7. If it's a Code 7 or Code J, then your distribution may be taxable. Check your copy of 1099R to see if this is the case. Check your entry in TurboTax as well.
