Question

I am having trouble filling out the 1099-G form. Box 2. is the only thing filled out as a refund. Where can I find the answer to question 2 "Total of all your payments.."

    The total of all your payments are the total taxes you paid to the state or locality for the same tax year as the refund. You can find this amount on your state and local tax return for the same tax year as the refund. The total payments will often be located near the bottom of the return. Look for the phrase that includes total payments.
