I am on social security disability can I get a tax refund?

    If Social Security was your only income you are not required to file a tax return unless you have a 1095A for marketplace health insurance.   

     

    You would not get a refund unless you have had other taxable income and had too much tax withheld.

    No. SSDI is not taxable if that is your only income, so there is no income against which to deduct anything.
