Did you receive any other income? Your retirement income can be taxable on the state return where you reside when your receive it, not the state where you "earned" the retirement.

States have different rules regarding Retirement income. To better assist you, which state return are you trying to file?

You may need to -- it depends on how much you made and what state you're in.

Most states have set minimum amounts of income which require you to file a state return, often different than what's required for filing a federal return.  Other states require you to file if you filed a federal return.

Please see the TurboTax Help article Do I need to file a state return? for guidance.  You can select your state revenue office to find more information.
