Yes, you can generally claim the Oregon Political Contribution Credit if your federal adjusted gross income (AGI) is within the limits set by the regulations.

    • The credit is available if your AGI does not exceed $150,000 for a joint return or $75,000 for other types of returns.

Here are the steps to verify your eligibility:

    1. Check your AGI: Ensure your AGI is correctly calculated and falls within the specified limits.
      1. To check your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) in TurboTax, follow these steps:
        1. Sign in to TurboTax: Open your TurboTax account and sign in.
        2. Open your return: If you haven't already, open your current tax return.
        3. Navigate to the Tax Summary:
          • From the left menu, select "Tax Tools".
          • Then select "Tools".
          • In the pop-up window, select "View Tax Summary".
        4. Find your AGI: Your AGI will be listed under the "Adjusted Gross Income" section of the Tax Summary
    2. Review the regulations: Refer to ORS 316.102 for detailed information on the credit
