Question

I amended my return online, do I have to mail anything in as well?

A bit of background: I originally filed at the beginning of March. I experienced several delays due to the inherited IRA error Turbotax was having. I owed tax at the time and was advised to make a payment directly to the IRS instead of waiting until I could refile after the bug was fixed. So I did.

This week I received a corrected tax form and amended my return, resulting in a $1k refund. The final steps of the TurboTax flow said my refund would be mailed and that I needed to print and mail some forms to the IRS as well, even though I e-filed my amendment.

However, the only only form to print was a payment voucher for the difference between the payment I already made in March (on the IRS website) and the new refund resulting from amending the return.

So my question is: Is there anything else I should be mailing the IRS in place of the payment voucher since I do not actually owe any tax? Or am I all good and can just wait for my refund check now?

Thanks!

Based on the scenario you just described, you don't need to do anything, except wait on your refund.
