Question

I annualized my income on the Federal Section of TurboTax to avoid any late tax fees, but the annualization did not carry over into the State Section. How do I do that?

TT did not use my annualized Federal AGI in my State calculations.  I tried to enter the form directly to annualize my income in the state form, but I am not allowed to make entries in the state form.   Will TurboTax have an update to fix this problem?

Two possible things that I can think of:

1) Even if you could make entries now, the Federal form 2210/2210AI is not scheduled to be fully complete until on/after 24 February.  Perhaps they won't transfer the information until the Fed form is finalized.

or

2)  Many state's forms are different enough, that the data is not supposed to transfer.  Instead, your state may require you to go thru their own Annualized Income interview to fill in their forms.  That section would be near the end of the full State interview.   In my NC state tax forms interview, they handle it during the first-time-thru interview, but if you miss it the first time, it's in a subsection called "Other Situations"  (But various state menu layouts can be different)
