I believe there is an error in the pages related to RMDs for an Inherited IRA, it carries the wrong values forward from on page to the next.

In a series of pages the program shows me the distributions made from the IRA (let's call it "DIST") AND asks for the RMD amount (which is about 30% of the DIST); the very next page then says the RMD amount was the DIST (ignoring the data entered from the 1099R) and asks me again for the RMD amount; the third page confirms "the difference" between my RMD and DIST is the RMD amount. It appears the program accepts and confirms the DIST amount, then forgets that altogether and uses the RMD amount as the DIST.

    The RMD questions have been updated.   The purpose of these questions is to help you determine if you have met the RMD criteria so that you can avoid the IRS penalty.  As long as you are not being penalized for not taking the RMD, TurboTax is reporting it correctly.
