Question

I did a rollover from an investment account to a traditional IRA, will I have to report that?

Yes, if you moved money from a regular account (not a retirement account) to your traditional IRA then this is considered a contribution.

 

Please follow these steps to report the contribution:

 

  1. Login to your TurboTax Account 
  2. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “IRA contributions” 
  3. Click on “Jump to IRA contributions"
  4. Select “traditional IRA”

 

Please be aware for 2022 the total contributions you make each year to all of your traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs can't be more than:
