I did not include my contributions for my 401k. Will this impact or be a factor that can reduce the amount I can possibly get back?

You do not report separately your 401(k) contributions in TurboTax as they are already reported on your form W-2 box 12 code D. They are already excluded from taxation.

Aren't they on your W-2 form?

Box 12 with a Code of D will show the 401(k) contributions.
